Book Talk and Garden Reception with author Paula McLain
On Wednesday August 1, from 4-6:30 at the Depot Heritage Garden best-selling author Paula McLain will talk about her newest book, Love and Ruin, sign books and interact with guests. In keeping with the places of significance to Ernest Hemingway and his third wife Martha Gelhorn, Spanish and Cuban themed hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. Hemingway memorabilia from the Society’s collection will also be on display.
The event is a fundraiser benefiting the Charlevoix Historical Society. Advanced tickets will be available to Society members until June 4, at which time they will go on sale to the public. Seating will be limited. To order your ticket, please call the Society at 231-547-0373.
