Description
These fine quality offset printings of Irene’s famous Charlevoix area map are vintage stock (as new), and measure approximately 35.5″ x 37″. Exact sizes may vary slightly by half an inch.They were produced for Earl and Irene Young sometime in the late 1960s or 1970s from the original master (now lost). They were donated to the museum by a Young descendant, for the purpose of raising money through sales.
QUANTITIES ARE LIMITED. These are close to the original artwork produced by Irene in 1934 that you’re liking to find out there.
This map was originally drawn in 1934 by Irene Harsha Young, who grew up in the Harsha House (now the Charlevoix Historical Society Museum) and later married famed builder Earl Young. Irene and Earl made edits to subsequent prints. Locations on the map of the Little Traverse Bay include Irene’s home of Charlevoix, in addition to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Bay View, Walloon Lake, and Lake Charlevoix.
